Online Account Access

Q. How do I access my account online
A. To access your account online do the following:
  1. Go to  www.marinefederal.org
  2. At the login page you will be required to enter your account number in the first box. For first time users enter the last four digits of the primary member's SSN in the second box labeled "Password". If you have accessed your account previously and changed your password enter the new password in the second box labeled "Password". 
  3. Click on the "Log on" icon.
  4. The account services page will appear allowing you to choose from several options. Click on the appropriate icon to access that feature.
If you have any further questions or can not access your account after completing these steps you may call Marine FCU at 800.225.3967, option 1 or 910.577.7333 option 1.

Q. Can I get my account number or other account information via email?
A. Email is not secure therefore we will not provide any personal information via this form of communication.


Q. What does it mean when the system says that my account number can not be recognized?
A. This means that MFCU@Home access has not yet been established on this account and you will need to contact Marine FCU to get this service established, at no cost to you. Please call a representative at 800.225.3967 or stop by any branch.

Q. What does it mean when the system says I'm locked out?
A. For security reasons the system locks you out of your account when three or more failed attempts to access your account have taken place. This could be a result of the incorrect account number or password being entered. Please contact Marine FCU at 800.225.3967, option 1 for assistance.

Q. Why can I not do online transfers between accounts that I am on?
A. The system can be set up to allow you to do this however your signature is required. You can fax a request to transfer in and out of the different accounts to 910.355.7866 or stop by any branch to establish this service.

Q. What does it mean when I receive the message "Page can not be displayed"?
A. The browser settings are most likely incorrect or there is an incorrect link to the web page. Please call 910.577.7333 or 800.225.3967, option 1to verify the settings or use the following link: https://www.marinefederal.org/home/?pageLabel=home


Q. How can I change my address online?
A. To change your address you will need to complete the following steps:

  1. Log onto MFCU@Home
  2. Click on "Secure Forms"
  3. Click on "Change of Address Request"
  4. Fill in the appropriate information and click on "Submit"

Q. How can I see when my military direct deposit payroll will post to my account?
A. At the top of the Marine FCU homepage choose "News and Information" from here select on "What's New".  Scroll to the bottom of the page and the paydays are listed within the Credit Union Calendar.

Q. Can I close my account online?
A. No, but you can fax or mail a letter with your signature clearly stating your desire to close a particular account. Fax: 910.355.7871 or Mail to: Marine FCU - Attn Bookkeeping PO Box 1551 Jacksonville NC 28541-1551. Please be sure to include the account number and directions as to what you would like done with any remaining funds in the account at the time of closing (i.e. transfer funds to another account or mail a check).

Q. Is there a way to access my account or change my password if I do not have access to a computer?
A. Yes. To call Touch Teller use a touch tone phone, for long distance calls dial 800.344.8639 for local calls dial 910.577.1051.


eStatements

This innovative new way to receive your Marine Federal Credit Union statements not only eliminates paper statements but allows you to view your statements in a quicker time frame. Best of all, eStatements are FREE of charge.

You can enroll now from your MFCU@Homeonline Account Access.Once enrolled you may access your electronic statement via the Marine Federal Credit Union web site or MFCU@Home on the second business day of each month. \ There is no obligation and you may cancel at any time.

Q. Is MFCU@Home required to receive eStatements? How do I sign up to begin receiving eStatements?
A. Yes, you must have access to MFCU@Home. From our website log onto the MFCU@Home icon, you will be required to enter your account number and the account password (for first time users it will be the last 4 digits of the primary members SSN) click "Enter" and you are now at MFCU@Home welcome site. At the top of the page click on the "eStatements" icon and read the attached disclosure. You will be required to enter the last four of your SSN, your date of birth and your email address. When complete click on the "Sign Up" icon to begin receiving eStatements.

Q. How will I get my eStatements?
A. Each month you will receive an email letting you know that your statement is ready to view. You will need to sign into MFCU@Homein order to view your statement.

Note: eStatements are displayed in Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not currently have this application installed you can download a copy for free by going to Adobe's website

Q. How do I print and/or save my eStatements?
A. From the MFCU@Home Welcome Page click on the eStatements icon click on "View Statement" with your statement in front of you look at the top of the page and you will see a "print/save" icon. Once you have clicked on it then you will be taken to another screen where the statement will appear to be quite large in comparison. Press the print icon from this screen and you will receive a paper version of your statement.


Q. How do I update my email address if I have a new one?
A. From the account click on the eStatements icon and you will be given the option to "Update my Account" this is where you need to click in order to change the email address that your eStatements go to. The new email address will have to be entered twice for confirmation purposes.

Q. Can I cancel my eStatements at any time? Is there a fee associated with this?
A. Yes, You have the right to withdraw your consent to receive future e-statements and e-disclosures. There are no fees or restrictions on the online access service for choosing to withdraw your consent.

Q. Why can't I email my eStatements to another person or company?
A. For security reasons this highly sensitive information can only be sent to the email address on record at Marine Federal Credit Union. Your eStatement email address can be changed by going to MFCU@Home. Once you have signed in and are on the Welcome Page then click on the eStatements icon. This will take you to the page where you can also go to view them but in order to change the address you will need to click on "Update my Account". You will then be asked to enter the new email address twice. In order to process the request, click the "Update" icon. Your next month's eStatement will be sent to the new address.

Q. Why are the images so large?
A.eStatements are best viewed on a monitor at 800 x 600 resolution and greater than 256 colors (16K+ recommended). The eStatement image typically is only shown in a larger font when in the Print/Save option. This is so the image is better suited for printing purposes.

Q. What do I do if I still have questions about eStatements?

Additional Online Services

Q. Can I open a MarChek Checking, Money Market, or Club Account if I cannot get to a branch?

A. This feature will be available soon; currently, applications for the aforementioned services are available on our website. Click on 'Products and Services'. Once the menu expands, click on 'Forms'. Select the Membership/Loan Application. This form will pop-up in a new window, and can be filled out on your computer and printed out. Bring the form into a branch to complete the process.

Q. How do I order checks online?

A. You will need to go to our website, and click on 'Products and Services' tab located at the top of the page; once the menu has expanded, click on the Mar?chek option. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and choose the "Check Reordering" option to get a direct link to the deluxe website. From here you can order checks, view products, or check the status of an order.

Q. What type of fees are involved in opening a new account?

A. To open a new account a Marine Federal Credit Union you must have a Savings account. An initial deposit of $5.00, that must be made and maintained at all times, will open the Savings account. The $5.00 not only keeps the account opened but buys one share in Marine FCU.

Q. What are Marine Federal Credit Unions current mortgage rates?

A. Our mortgage rates can fluctuate daily. In order to get current rates you can go to www.marinefederal.org and click the "Products and Services" tab located at the top of our home page. Once the menu expands, click on Loans, which will cause the menu to expand out to the right. Click on 'Mortgages', and this will take you to the Mortgages home page where "Today's Featured Rates" are posted on the left hand side. Under the Marine FCU logo you can click the "Check Rates" icon and plug in the appropriate information and click the "Go" icon to get the best rate for your loan type. You can also call Marine FCU's Mortgage Department at 910.355.5627.
